Addressing Brain Differences for A Better Life
Discovering that our brains aren’t like others can be a challenging experience. On one level, it feels like a relief to know with certainty, “I have ADHD” or “I have Autism.” Or even to understand “My anxiety and depression are due to resisting how my brain works and trying to fight it.”
But it’s also hard. We didn’t choose to have atypical brain function. Now we must accept it, make changes to our lives, and inform our loved ones. It can be a lot.
If this sounds like someone you know (hint hint), I can help. Together, we can address how your unique brain works, use innovative techniques to alleviate your symptoms, build habits and skills for managing it better, and ultimately channel it into a fulfilling life that you love.
The best part? It only takes one hour per week to begin making progress.
How Atelier Therapy Was Born

Growing up with ADHD
As a kid with ADHD, I struggled to feel “normal” or like I fit in. I had trouble focusing (unless it was history – my favorite subject) and I didn’t have a healthy outlet for my hyperactivity.

Setting Out to Become a Therapist
After struggling for so long, I wanted to heal myself and also save others from the same pain I went through. I became a licensed therapist in 2017 and began specializing in ADHD. I later added Autism as a specialty.

Helping Clients Overcome
I’m firmly in the groove of helping those with ADHD, Autism, and Anxiety or Depression caused by being neurodivergent. Countless lives impacted through the ripple effect!
“I’m sharpening myself at work and embracing more of who I am.”

“I have gained a better balance of self/work/family, a renewed passion for life, and greater satisfaction and self-confidence. By prioritizing my self-care and practicing self-compassion, my work and family benefit and improve. I’m sharpening myself at work and embracing more of who I am. External factors are easier to manage, and it’s radiating from me.
“When I began therapy all in life seemed chaotic, high-pressure, and exhausting. I was internalizing more sadness, resentment, impatience, insecurity, and frustration with work, my colleagues and peers, myself, and sometimes my family. I knew what I should be doing, but I wasn’t doing it and there wasn’t time to devote to it. I was faking it more than making it.
“Through a relatively upward trajectory, with some ups and downs, I’m feeling better and more in control than I have in years. My day-to-day choices in life are more conscious. I’m finding new ways to handle difficult conversations or situations at home and at work.
“It’s really nice to have a confidante and a place to share things that are difficult. It’s scary too, but Jesse has a way of listening intently, even to meandering thoughts, offering a few kind words that can shift critical thoughts about self or others into patience or empathy or humor.
“One thing I noticed about Jesse when I chose to work with him was that he’s strong and straightforward but still warm and kind. He’s intelligent and articulate and can relate to the challenges of business or academic professions. I get the sense that he’d thrive in any career, but I’m glad he’s chosen this one.”
